I’m sharing my hints and tips for shopping at Dollar Tree like a pro. So before shopping at Dollar Tree, look at some ideas to get the best out of your shopping at Dollar Tree!
Secret #1 – Shop the Site
Before I even step foot in the stores, my first thing to do is to check the Dollar Tree website to see the current season/promotions that are happening in the stores. I like this because sometimes it gives you an even better idea of full collections. Collections that might be sold out, or all pieces not carried in your particular store, but you can browse the items and see even more than just in-store. Also sorting by “new” in a particular category can be just as helpful. You can also scroll down to the bottom of the homepage and click the “New” option to see what was just added to the site and should be arriving at the stores soon.
Secret #2 – Shipment
You may have heard this secret before and that’s because it works! Ask your store what day their shipments come in. This way you get your hands on the newest stock first and before it sells out. Each store has a different day and stocking typically is about a day or two after, so this gives you a better chance.
Secret #3 – Look out for Boxes
Have you ever been shopping at Dollar Tree and noticed boxes upon boxes just stacked in random parts of the store and aisles? This is because this is the next to be stocked. The boxes have boxes of the image on the side. So if you are looking for something and you don’t see it on the floor look for boxes. It’s worth a peek at the label image and kindly asking an employee for help and purchasing.
Secret #4 – Know the Dollar Tree Cycles
This one is super important when shopping at Dollar Tree. Besides the standard always-in-stocked items, like party, snacks, and kitchen items knowing when the seasonal items will be stocked and what kind of seasonal items to plan for. If you are a frequent Dollar Tree shopper you have probably already become aware of their stocking seasonal items cycles. If not, here’s a quick cheat sheet of things to look out for.
Secret #5 – When is the Best Time to Shop?
Now that you know what cycles, how do you know when is the best time to shop? Well, my advice is always to shop a season ahead. And, also as a season is ending. Grab it as soon as it appears before it all sells out, you will still have the full selection and choices.
